Stroud’s Five Valleys Market celebrates birthday!

28 June 2024

The team at Five Valleys shopping centre in Stroud celebrate the fourth birthday of the centre’s popular food market this weekend.

The busy market which was launched in the summer of 2020 has built up a fantastic line up of street food traders and local producers with a delicious array of foodie businesses.

Traders will celebrate the market’s fourth birthday this weekend with free face painting, balloon modelling and crafts on Saturday July 7th and live music from Sharon Baker on the Friday evening (July 6th) when the market stays open until 8pm.

The market is open seven days a week and is home to traders including the award-winning Artisan Baker as well as gourmet delicatessen Armadeli, Knights artisan butchers and seafood and fresh fruit and vegetables from the Cotswold Grocer.

A great line up of street food traders can also be found, offering everything from gelato to fish and chips, crepes, Italian and Mexican street food as well as Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. The Warren Food Trailer, which has been part of the market from day one is also a popular trader at the centre.

Centre Manager Erica Malpass said: “We are so lucky to have such a fantastic line up of businesses serving up some of the best food from around the world here at our Five Valleys Market – as well as really wonderful local produce.

“It really is one of the things which makes Five Valleys a special place here in Stroud and we’re delighted to be celebrating the fourth birthday this weekend.”

Five Valleys is owned and managed by the leading town centre regeneration company Dransfield Properties. The company has transformed the centre into a brand-new retail and leisure destination in the heart of Stroud town centre.

Five Valleys has recently welcomed Sports Direct to the retail line up at the centre as well as fashion store Peacocks, both can be found in the mall area near the market. The women’s fashion brand Apricot has also launched a new concession at Sandersons Department store this week.
