A hopping good time will be had at Five Valleys this Easter holidays

18 March 2024

The team at Five Valleys are getting ready for some Easter egg-citement with something on offer at the shopping centre every day next week.

On Wednesday [27 March] a small farmyard will be set up in the centre’s courtyard offering youngsters the chance to meet and pet donkeys, sheep, goats, bunnies and more.

The following day Peter Rabbit will be hopping around the centre spreading Easter cheer, whilst on Friday’s families can enjoy the vast array of international street food on offer at the popular late-night markets which run until 8pm. Live music is hosted by the centre every Friday from 6pm to provide a brilliant atmosphere before families can move on to a game of bowling or watch the latest film at VUE.

The market is the perfect place for fussy eaters as families can grab dishes from the different vendors and sit together to enjoy. Diners can choose from pasta, Pad Thai, Pakoras, sushi, burgers, burritos and more.

As well as the usual market, a range of pop up traders will also be at the centre across both weeks, including Gifted for you and R&R Delights selling cakes and brownies, Lhamos Momo cooking up Tibetan dumplings and Los Cubanos with their popular Cuban street food.

And on Saturday [30th March] it's the centre’s monthly market which boasts small businesses such as Gifted for You, Sallydolally Designs, Pawfecta UK and more.

Running from April 2 to April 4, kids can also get involved with a special Easter bunny hunt with a fantastic prize hamper up for grabs. Entries will only cost £1 with all proceeds donated to the centre’s chosen charity, Allsorts.

Allsorts provides a range of activities for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, as well as support groups for the whole family. Based in their Activity Hub in the Brunel Mall, Stroud, they provide a community where friendship and memories are made and plenty of fun is to be had through their huge amount of extra-curricular activities including toddler groups, youth clubs and sports activities.

Kelly Winkworth, Assistant Centre Manager at Five Valleys, said: “We are excited to kick start our centres 2024 events programme with the Easter Extravaganza.

“In recognition of the cost-of-living crisis, the majority of our events are free of charge and we hope it’ll be a great chance for families to enjoy their Easter break with plenty of activities to get involved in.”

Stores and restaurants will be open normal trading hours on Saturday however these may reduce slightly on Good Friday and Easter Monday with the majority remaining closed on Easter Sunday.
